POSITION SUMMARY |
|
The Atlassian Platform Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing ASC’s Atlassian product suite, which includes Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Assets and a range of authorised plug-ins. This role ensures these platforms are secure, reliable, and configured to meet the organisation’s business needs. The specialist leads platform enhancements, develops tailored workflows and automation, and supports users across all levels of ASC. A key focus is guiding the migration from Atlassian Data Center to Atlassian Cloud prior to the end-of-life date in 2029, working closely with IT, cybersecurity, and business teams to deliver effective solutions. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. The specialist is expected to provide strategic input, deliver business analysis, and support remote work, demonstrating autonomy and adaptability in a collaborative, distributed team environment. |

The Atlassian Platform Specialist is an enterprise-wide technical leader operating in a dynamic and strategically critical environment. This role is pivotal to ASC’s digital transformation, directly influencing business agility, operational excellence, and long-term technology strategy.
With responsibility for the full lifecycle management of ASC’s Atlassian platforms—including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Assets, and authorized plug-ins—the specialist drives platform reliability, security, and innovation. The position requires advanced expertise to architect, implement, and optimise complex solutions that span multiple business units and impact core organisational processes.
The specialist acts as a trusted advisor to IT, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders, shaping the technology direction and ensuring alignment with ASC’s strategic objectives. This includes leading the migration to Atlassian Cloud, a multi-year, high-impact initiative essential for future readiness and compliance.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the specialist exercises independent judgment in decision-making, risk assessment, and resource prioritisation. The role demands exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills to address complex technical and business challenges, often with financial, operational, and compliance implications.
