Description
In accordance with the policies, procedures, and standards of Chroma Hospitality and Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay, and under the supervision of the R&M Supervisor, the Engineering Tech A (A/V Tech) is responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of all resort audio and visual equipment and ensures that all event functions are carried out successfully and efficiently.
Scope and Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage audio and visual requirements for banquet functions, meetings, conferences, and special events.
- Conduct daily inspections of lights and sound systems in all resort outlets and function venues.
- Check and replace busted or defective lights in the ballroom, function rooms, and other designated areas.
- Repair and maintain audio-visual equipment, cables, paging systems, pipe-in music systems, and hold-on music systems used in the Guest Service Center and other resort facilities.
- Set up and operate the sound system for Saturday Mass and other resort activities as required.
- Ensure all audio-visual equipment is functioning properly before, during, and after events.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to sound, lighting, and AV equipment during operations and events.
- Conduct preventive maintenance of AV systems and equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with event organizers, banquet teams, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of event requirements.
- Maintain proper inventory and safekeeping of audio-visual equipment and accessories.
- Observe and implement safety procedures in handling electrical and audio-visual equipment.
- Practice and role-model the Guiding Principles and Core Values of Crimson Hospitality.
- Support the resort's commitment to delivering excellent guest service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Promote environmentally responsible practices by reducing waste, recycling whenever possible, and reusing materials where applicable.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by immediate superiors from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Vocational Diploma, Technical Course, or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Audio Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in audio-visual operations, sound systems, lighting systems, or related technical support functions.
- Experience in hospitality, events, or banquet operations is an advantage.
- TESDA certification or related technical certifications are an advantage.
