What We Are Looking For:

This position is responsible for assisting the pricing, hedging or valuation team with various actuarial activities as well as building the infrastructure needed for future model development work. As part of the broader actuarial department, this position will have the ability to gain exposure to other functions and high impact projects. This role is required to be onsite 3 days a week at our Durham, NC headquarters.

What You Will Do:

• Assist in development of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and risk analysis.
• Prepare reports of key trends and communicate findings.
• Support senior actuaries by optimizing actuarial processes related to hedging and risk.
• Design and implement a process for helping Aspida set product rates in a more automated format.

Requirements

What We Require:

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
• At least one successful SOA exam preferred
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn
