Who We Are: 

The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from.  Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers.  We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. 

About the Role: 

 The Corporate Relations Specialist II provides project coordination, donor engagement, and administrative support for industry-based fundraising campaigns and corporate partnerships. This role works closely with the Food Bank’s Corporate Relations team, Feeding Georgia, corporate partners, and internal stakeholders to support fundraising goals, strengthen donor relationships, and identify opportunities to grow corporate engagement. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Relations.

Institutional Giving / Development  

What You’ll Do: 

Builds and Nurtures Relationships  

  • Provide exceptional customer service to industry competition participants before, during and after each campaign by executing integrated communication plans, resolving donor concerns, and successfully supporting assigned competition leads.  
  • Conduct research and prospecting activities to expand donor recruitment from existing industry verticals and identify new opportunities for engagement  
  • Cultivate and solicit corporate donors for financial and in-kind support  
  • Support donor stewardship and recognition efforts, ensuring commitments and recognition benefits are fulfilled based on gift or sponsorship level. 

Planning and Coordination  

  • Collaborate with industry competition leads and Feeding Georgia contact(s) to create, maintain and monitor dedicated online fundraising campaigns.  
  • Partner with industry competition leads and Marketing team to create, update and disseminate industry competition collateral and assets using multiple communication channels.  
  • Develop and execute project plans for assigned industry competitions, tracking timelines, deliverables, and key milestones. 
  • Periodically review and update the industry competition playbook to document standard operating procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement. 
  • Coordinate and support the development and growth of cause marketing initiatives with new and existing corporate partners. 
  • Lead third-party fundraising events from intake through completion, coordinating support as needed and maintaining accountability for deliverables and results. 

Data and Administration  

  • Partner with Donor Services to ensure donations are properly coded and recorded in donor database.  
  • Produce accurate and timely fundraising reports for industry competitions and other fundraising initiatives as needed.  
  • Create invoices for sponsorships and other donations.  
  • Maintain and update corporate recognition postings across internal and external platforms to ensure accurate and timely acknowledgment of donor and partner contributions.

What You’ll Need: Skills and Experiences Your Resume Should Demonstrate: 

  • Demonstrated experience with project coordination, event planning, and coordination of multiple projects within deadlines and within budget.  
  • Experience successfully managing relationships with vendors, donors, and/ or sponsors.  
  • Track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver objectives.  
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. 
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). 
  • Experience using donor databases, fundraising systems, or comparable relationship management software; experience with Raiser's Edge is a plus. 

There may be some Physical Demands and Travel: 

This position works in a typical office setting. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use.  This position would normally have routine opportunities to alter physical position or change eye focus. Lifting should not normally exceed 50 pounds. Local travel is required.  Must have a satisfactory driving record.
