Job Title: Custodial Maintenance Worker
Department: Focus: HOPE Executive
Reports To: Custodial Maintenance Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
General Statement of Duties:
Responsible for the cleanliness of building, offices and lavatories. Work involves routine manual operations with frequent instructing and checking by the supervisor.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean floors, walls, furniture, windows, lights and vacuum carpet.
- Strip and wax floors, shampoo carpet.
- Clean lavatories.
- Remove trash and keep trash area clean.
- Maintain inventory of assigned custodial supplies.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Supervision Received:
Perform duties under the supervision of the Custodial Maintenance Supervisor

Requirements
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong commitment to civil and human rights.
- Knowledge of janitorial/cleaning practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a standing position as required.
- Dexterity.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Oral and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- · Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- · Must be able to lift up 50 pounds at times.
Education, Training and Experience:
- High School diploma or its equivalent training and/or experience.
