We are seeking a highly motivated and meticulous Document Control Engineer to support large-scale semiconductor construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining document control processes that ensure the accuracy, integrity, accessibility, and compliance of project documentation.
You will work closely with project teams, contractors, vendors, and partners to establish standardized document management practices, support project execution, and drive continuous process improvements through the use of modern document management technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
### Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain project documentation throughout its lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, quality, confidentiality, compliance with record retention requirements, and efficient retrieval of information.
- Administer and support document management systems (e.g., ACC, Procore, Aconex), including issue resolution, system updates, and conversion of physical records to electronic formats.
- Develop, implement, and standardize document control procedures, templates, naming conventions, numbering systems, and workflows across construction projects.
- Establish and monitor document retention schedules, archiving processes, and secure disposal procedures in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Register, track, distribute, and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, transmittals, punch lists, and other project records.
- Coordinate document flow among internal teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate communication and distribution of project information.
- Find opportunities to harness AI and digital tools to automate workflows, improve data tracking, enhance reporting capabilities, and increase operational efficiency.
- Develop training materials and provide user training and support for document management processes, systems, and standard methodologies.

### Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related construction subject area.
- 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, including at least 5 years of hands-on document control experience supporting complex projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document/project management platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Procore, Aconex, or equivalent systems.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing document control procedures, workflows, templates, and standards across multiple projects.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and within multi-functional teams.

### Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale semiconductor, advanced technology, industrial, or critically important construction projects.
- Experience administering enterprise document management systems and leading process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of AI-enabled tools and automation technologies used to enhance document control, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
- Proven experience developing training materials and delivering end-user training for document management processes and systems.
- Professional proficiency in Japanese and/or Chinese is a plus
