Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Full Time Patrol Observation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government healthcare location. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, facility staff, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
