We’re seeking an experienced Liquid Measurement Technician II to join our field measurement team in Greeley, CO.


In this hands-on field role, you’ll take on a key technical role supporting custody-transfer and production measurement operations across the field. Working with a high degree of independence, you’ll prove, calibrate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot liquid measurement systems and associated equipment, calculate and validate meter factors, investigate measurement discrepancies, and resolve issues that could impact accuracy or performance. You’ll also help ensure systems remain compliant with applicable standards, procedures, and customer requirements while supporting safe, reliable, and efficient field operations.



What You’ll Do

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot liquid provers, meters, LACT units, and related measurement systems 
  • Calculate meter factors, evaluate variances, and verify measurement accuracy 
  • Troubleshoot and repair flow computers, transmitters, valves, instrumentation, and automation systems 
  • Collect samples and determine API gravity, sediment and water (S&W), and other product quality indicators 
  • Identify root causes of measurement issues and recommend corrective actions 
  • Complete accurate job tickets, field reports, proving records, calibration records, and other required documentation 
  • Manage measurement data and complete required reporting accurately and on time 
  • Train and mentor new technicians on liquid measurement practices and advanced skillsets 
  • Follow applicable API, AGA, GPA, BLM, state, and company safety and measurement standards 
  • Communicate effectively with customers, field personnel, and supervisors
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 2+ years of hands-on liquid measurement experience, including meter proving, LACT operations, production facilities, and custody-transfer measurement 
  • Proven experience operating and troubleshooting Coriolis, turbine, positive displacement, ultrasonic, and master meters 
  • Demonstrated experience with flow computers, PLCs, and SCADA systems
  • Working knowledge of API, AGA, GPA, BLM, and state measurement standards 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently in field environments 
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required; Active CDL-A license strongly preferred 


Work Schedule & Travel

  • Full-time, field-based position with flexible or extended hours based on operational needs
  • Rotating on-call availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Daily local travel required, including extended driving throughout the workday
  • Overnight travel and remote or offshore assignments may be required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing during field activities
  • Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and industrial or hydrocarbon environments
  • Ability to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces and wear required PPE as needed
