Responsibilities- Current duties may be changed if the job requires and/or additional duties may be assigned if necessary.
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Clean up the station and take care of leftover food.
- Stock inventory appropriately.
- Ensures consistency of recipes and taste standards while maintaining established flavor profiles and correct protein temperatures.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Communicate any quality issues or general issues to Head Chef/Owners as needed.
- Able to work in a high volume and fast paced environment.
Qualifications-
- Proven cooking experience, minimum of 3 years
- Proven prep/cooking experience is preferred, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, sous chef, prep cook.
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in assigned tasks.
- High degree of reliability and availability
- This location is open Thursday-Sunday and requires weekend availability.
- Bilingual in English is preferred but will consider Spanish speaking only candidates.
