In this role, you will be part of the Research and Insights team at 99. Our goal is to deeply understand the behavior, pain points, and needs of our users (passengers, partner drivers, eaters). As a Junior Advanced Analytics Analyst, your mission will be to support the transformation of large volumes of data into actionable insights, combining survey data with the business's transactional data to guide the company's strategic decisions.
Role Responsibilities
Responsible for:
- Data Extraction and Manipulation: Collect, clean, and structure data from different sources (internal databases, market research results, app usage data) using SQL, Python/R, Internal tools
- Dashboard Creation and Maintenance: Develop and update visual dashboards to track key research and user satisfaction KPIs.
- Support in Modeling and Testing: Assist the team in building basic statistical models, customer segmentation (clustering)
- Descriptive and Diagnostic Analysis: Cross-reference quantitative behavior data with research data to answer business questions
- Insight Generation: Participate in alignment meetings and help translate complex analyses into clear, objective presentations for business and product stakeholders.
Role Qualifications
- Query and Programming Languages: Proficiency in SQL (essential for data extraction) and basic/intermediate knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation
- Data Visualization: Practical experience with DataViz tools
- Basic Statistics: Solid understanding of fundamental statistical concepts (mean, median, standard deviation, correlation, distributions) and A/B Testing logic.
- Office/Google Workspace Suite: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and a strong ability to create presentations in Google Slides.
- Business curiosity: a willingness to go beyond the surface to understand the “why” behind the data, and a genuine interest in understanding the business problems behind each request.
- Rigor and skepticism: attention to data quality, awareness of bias, and the habit of validating results before sharing them.
- Clear Communication: The ability to translate technical terms into simple, accessible business language.
- Teamwork: Ease in collaborating with researchers and business teams.
- Resilience and Adaptability: A dynamic profile to handle the fast-paced environment of a technology and mobility company.
- Nice to have
- Background in STEM (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics) or equivalent courses in the data field.
- Basic understanding of Machine Learning (linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees).
- Intermediate English (for reading technical documentation and occasional interactions with DiDi's global teams).
