Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Ward Nurse – Eye Care to provide nursing care, support surgical procedures, monitor patients, and ensure high standards of safety and clinical care within the Eye Theatre and Ward.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care within the Eye Theatre and Ward.
- Assist surgeons and medical staff during eye surgical procedures.
- Prepare patients for surgery and provide appropriate post-operative care.
- Monitor patients' conditions and promptly report any concerns to the medical team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and nursing documentation.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by medical professionals.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, infection-control, and clinical standards.
- Support the smooth workflow within the theatre and ward environment.
- Provide patients and their families with appropriate care, guidance, and support.
- Follow hospital policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse.
- Diploma in Nursing / NVQ Level 4 / PHSRC Registration.
- Previous experience in Eye Care will be a distinct advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong patient-care and clinical support skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work collaboratively with doctors, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
