The Relationship Banker provides customer service and recommendations of products and services while reaching established goals. Utilizes the Bank’s Service Excellence Standards and product knowledge to develop and manage customer relationships.
Essential Job Functions
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate Bank products and services, including cross-selling and referrals.
- Build and strengthen customer relationships through in-branch interactions, outbound calls, and business development initiatives.
- Open consumer and business accounts, CDs, and other Bank products while ensuring accurate documentation and system entry.
- Process a variety of transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, official checks, money orders, mailed deposits, and other customer requests.
- Follow all branch policies and procedures related to operations, cash handling, compliance, audits, opening/closing, vault/ATM management, and balancing.
- Provide exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities to support customers’ financial needs.
Requirements
Qualifications, Experience, and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of teller, customer service, sales, or related experience; cash handling preferred.
- Obtain Notary Public commission within the first year of employment.
- Strong customer service, communication, math, and cash-handling skills.
- Basic computer and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to problem-solve, learn banking products and procedures, and communicate confidently with customers.
- Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and at multiple market locations as needed.
