Due to our continuing expansion, we currently have an opportunity for a Highways Engineer on multi-disciplinary offshore executed projects from Bangalore, India.

Working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a world-renowned consultant.

 

Your Role

 

·        You will be an Engineer within the Highways team carrying out the design and checking of a range of elements associated with highway projects.  You will be responsible for:

·        Project based supervision of designers and drafting staff

·        Maintaining technical quality standards and mentoring junior designers

·        Delivering projects to time and budget

·        Liaising with Canada based customers in a responsive and client focused manner

The successful candidate will need to

·        Be highly self-motivated and ambitious

·        Have a track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the highways and bridges industry

·        Be able to work with minimal supervision

·        Have the ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers

·        Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients

·        Have the experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment

·        The position is to be based in Bangalore

About You

 

·        Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College

·        Have relevant experience in the region of around 3 to 10 years in consultancy business working on highways and related features in Canada Region.

·        Knowledge and Experience of applying TAC standards in Roads Design.

·        Experienced user of Open Roads Design, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation

·        Experience implementing quality standards and procedures

·        A very good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office.

·        Good verbal and written communication skills.

·        Evidence of having successfully delivered highway projects

·        Holds a Masters Degree in a relevant discipline

·        Expert in the use of Open Road design software and AutoCAD/MicroStation for Highway schemes

·        Experience of the design of grade separated junctions

·        Experience of the design of pipe drainage networks

·        Working knowledge of Canada highway design standards
