Speech Language Pathologist Acute Care SLP

Highlights/Benefits:

• 200-bed Community Hospital
• Trauma Center & Primary Stroke Center designations
• Acute Care position with a growing Neuro program
• Opportunity to be involved in Program Development
• Heavy emphasis on Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
• Geriatric and Adult patient population - no pediatrics
  • Strokes, Swallow Issues, General Weakness, Failed Bedside Swallows
  • Cover ICU, PCU, Med/Surg, Radiology, etc
• 1:1 Pt Care, 30 to 60 minutes per patient; see 8-10 patients per day
• Time built into the schedule for documentation - never take work home with you
• Full-time permanent position working 5-8's (8:30-4pm)
• Paid Certifications, CEUs, etc.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Master's Degree as a Speech Language Pathologist from an accredited program
• CCC Required, no Clinical Fellowships
• Acute Care and MBSS experience preferred
• SLP license or the ability to obtain one
• Passion for treating patients in a 1:1 environment that prioritizes patient care
