Position Summary

As the Senior Warehouse Associate, you will play a key role in the operation of our warehouse, helping ensure inventory is received, organized, tracked, and shipped accurately and efficiently. This position combines hands-on warehouse work with inventory management, ordering, shipping coordination, and communication with freight carriers and vendors. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with technology, and able to take ownership of warehouse responsibilities while working closely with the broader farm operations team.

 

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies
• Receive and maintain inventory accurately in the company's inventory management system
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and replenishment of warehouse materials and products
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer, retail, and internal transfer orders for shipment
• Coordinate outbound shipments with freight carriers, parcel services, and other transportation providers to ensure timely deliveries
• Schedule freight pickups and communicate with shipping vendors regarding deliveries, tracking information, and shipment issues
• Maintain accurate inventory counts through routine cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
• Organize warehouse inventory to maximize efficiency, accessibility, and safety
• Utilize company software to process inventory transactions, purchase orders, and shipment documentation
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries safely using proper equipment and procedures
• Help coordinate incoming and outgoing freight and ensure shipments are prepared accurately and on schedule
• Work closely with purchasing, retail, service, construction, and operations teams to ensure inventory availability and order accuracy
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with company standards
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for day-to-day warehouse operations and help train or guide other warehouse team members as needed
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and operational efficiency
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse, shipping & receiving, inventory control, or related experience preferred
• Experience with inventory management, ERP, or warehouse management software; Odoo experience is a plus
• Experience coordinating inbound and outbound shipments with freight carriers, parcel services, or other transportation providers - preferred
• Strong computer skills and comfortable learning new software systems
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent - Required
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process inventory and shipping documentation
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to lift between 30-60 lbs, including bending, lifting, carrying, and moving inventory throughout the warehouse
• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus
• Demonstrated record of punctuality, reliability, and professionalism
• Strong sense of ownership, reliability, and follow-through
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with ponds, aquariums, aquatic products, or fish is a plus
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record - Required
• Available for varied weekly shifts, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods - Required

 

Position Salary

• Full-Time    |   $20.00 - $24.00/ hour  *depending on experience*
