Objective of the position:
Responsible for the design, implementation, support, maintenance and continuous improvement of industrial control and automation systems throughout the plant, including PLCs, Safety Systems, HMIs/SCADA, industrial networks, robotics, motion control, data acquisition and OT infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with DTNA automation standards, cybersecurity requirements and machine safety standards while supporting production reliability, operational efficiency, manufacturing projects and plant digitalization initiatives
Indispensable Requirements (Candidates who do not meet these requirements may be discarded):
- PLC Programming and Troubleshooting – Allen-Bradley ControlLogix / GuardLogix preferred
- HMI / SCADA Development and Troubleshooting – FactoryTalk View, Ignition or equivalent
- Industrial Networks – EtherNet/IP, TCP/IP, managed switches and industrial network troubleshooting. Electrical Schematics and Industrial Control System Troubleshooting
- Industrial Safety Systems – Safety PLCs, Safety I/O and machine safety concepts. OT Cybersecurity and Industrial System Administration fundamentals
- SQL Databases, OPC communications and Industrial Data Acquisition
- Industrial Automation Hardware – VFDs, remote I/O, instrumentation, sensors and control systems
- English level: B2+

Academic Knowledge: Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Controls, Computer Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Main Functions:
-Design, develop, implement, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade industrial automation and control systems including PLCs, Safety PLCs, HMIs/SCADA, drives, motion systems, industrial robots, instrumentation and automation hardware. Drive automation improvements focused on Operator Safety, Machine Reliability, Production Efficiency, Quality and Plant Capacity.
-Collaborate with Manufacturing, Production, Maintenance, Safety, IT/OT and project teams to define functional, control, safety and automation requirements for manufacturing projects. Review automation concepts, technical specifications and system architectures, and participate in design reviews, FAT, SAT, commissioning and production launch activities to ensure compliance with plant requirements, DTNA standards and SQDCME objectives.
-Design, configure, maintain and troubleshoot industrial communication networks and OT infrastructure used for control, monitoring and administration of manufacturing equipment. Support EtherNet/IP, TCP/IP, managed industrial switches, network segmentation and communication diagnostics. Implement and maintain automation systems following DTNA OT network and cybersecurity requirements, including device configuration, access control, backups and secure communication practices.
-Define, maintain and enforce plant automation standards for PLCs, Safety Systems, HMIs/SCADA, industrial networks, automation hardware and electrical control systems. Review and approve automation designs and technical solutions provided by equipment suppliers and system integrators. Develop and maintain engineering documentation including electrical schematics, network architectures, control panel drawings, I/O documentation, functional specifications, user manuals, work instructions and design reports.
-Support and maintain industrial data acquisition systems, automation databases, SCADA/OT servers and manufacturing applications required by production systems. Maintain current backups and recovery information for PLCs, HMIs, industrial network devices, automation equipment and OT servers. Support system commissioning, upgrades, database connectivity, OPC communications, system recovery and troubleshooting of automation infrastructure.
-Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex automation, electrical, communication and manufacturing system failures. Develop and implement permanent corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce production downtime. Evaluate automation equipment lifecycle, obsolescence, system capacity and technological risks, and develop technical recommendations for upgrades, replacements and long-term automation strategy.
