Description
Lendlease is a real estate business that operates as three deep capabilities of Investments, Development and Construction. Since our inception in the 1950s, we have been a strong purpose-led organisation and an industry leader – believing in the key role real estate plays in shaping our cities, our communities and our planet, and the positive legacy we can create.
About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially astute finance leader to join the Lendlease Group Finance team as Group Head of Financial Reporting on a permanent basis in Sydney.
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this is a high-profile leadership role with significant visibility and influence across the Group. You will lead the Group’s financial and statutory reporting function, overseeing monthly close, half-year and year-end reporting, technical accounting, and consolidation activities across a large and complex business.
As a trusted adviser to senior finance leadership, you will work closely with the Group CFO, Segment CFO’s and their leadership teams to deliver best in class financial reporting outcomes, provide technical accounting leadership and support strategic decision-making across the organisation. You will also have regular exposure to the Board and Audit Committee, preparing and presenting reporting matters, technical accounting positions and key financial insights to some of the Group’s most senior stakeholders.
The role sits at the centre of the Group’s finance function and plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the Group's financial reporting framework, supporting regulatory compliance and strengthening governance outcomes. You will partner extensively across Finance, Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations, Sustainability, Legal and Risk, while leading a high-performing team and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement. The role will also play an integral part in managing the Group's external audit process, working closely with the external auditors to ensure the efficient delivery of audit and reporting outcomes.
This is an exciting time to join the business. Lendlease is currently undertaking a significant Finance Transformation Program, including the upcoming implementation of a new finance platform and associated process transformation initiatives. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future state finance function, enhancing reporting capabilities, strengthening controls and helping drive greater efficiency and scalability across the Group.
For a leader seeking a role with genuine organisational impact, executive visibility and the opportunity to influence both strategic outcomes and the future direction of Finance, this presents an exceptional career opportunity.
