Are you in?

Your role

As a working student in Safety Engineering, you will support the automation of safety development processes for automotive applications, helping connect requirements, safety concepts, and simulation models in an ISO 26262-compliant environment

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Requirements Automation: Develop and maintain an automated pipeline that transforms Safety and Functional Requirements into structured Safety Concept Models
  • Concept Modelling & Generation: Create automated flows to generate top-level safety diagrams and structural models, ensuring consistency and reducing manual documentation errors
  • Simulation & Validation: Integrate MATLAB/Simulink models into the safety concept workflow. Develop automated simulation scenarios to validate safety mechanisms defined in the concept
  • Reusability & Process Optimization: Design modular modelling structures in Enterprise Architect and MATLAB to maximize the reuse of safety concepts, simulation models, and development assets across different projects or vehicle variants
  • Requirements Traceability: Ensure consistency between requirements, safety concepts, and simulation models

Your profile

You have a proactive personality and are a great communicator, willing to actively support and collaborate with your team members. You thrive in an international environment and are always looking for opportunities to develop your skills.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Education: Final-year Bachelor's or master's student in Electronics or a related engineering field
  • Programming & Simulation Skills: Knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, and data handling, as well as MATLAB/Simulink for modelling and simulation
  • Systems & Modelling Knowledge: Understanding of systems engineering concepts and an interest in model-based development approaches
  • Communication Skills: Strong collaboration and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams
  • Availability: Available to work as a student for the next two years
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities

It would be a plus:

  • MBSE & Modelling Experience: Familiarity with Enterprise Architect, SystemC, or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies
  • Functional Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of ISO 26262 concepts, including Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), Safety Goals, and Safety Concepts
  • Automation Experience: Previous academic, internship, or project experience involving process automation, scripting, modelling, or simulation development
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to connect requirements, system architecture, safety concepts, and simulation behavior to support end-to-end development activities

Please apply with your CV in English so we can get to know you better
