We are seeking a strategic and proactive IT Communications Specialist to join our IT Communications team in the Office of the CIO. This role will support planning, development, and execution of internal communications that help employees understand, adopt, and embrace technology initiatives across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop communications that simplify complex technical concepts, support organizational change, and improve employee experience.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating technology into clear, engaging stories that help people understand what is changing, why it matters, and what actions they need to take. This role requires excellent writing skills, and project management expertise to drive seamless execution of communication plans in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Communications Strategy: Develop and execute internal comms strategies that support technology initiatives, transformation, and IT priorities, driving employee awareness, understanding, and adoption.
Change Communications: Ability to support high-impact change initiatives by developing communication plans, stakeholder messaging, FAQs, and readiness materials.
Content Development: Create, edit, and manage engaging internal communications across multiple channels, including email, intranet (SharePoint), Microsoft Teams, newsletters, videos, and employee resources, ensuring that messaging is clear, consistent, and audience focused.
Project Management: Oversee communications projects from initiation to completion, managing timelines, metrics, employee feedback, and adoption data to ensure timely delivery and alignment with company goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, HR, Corporate Communications, and business stakeholders to align messaging, provide communications counsel, and support planning.
Basic Qualifications:
Degree in Communications, Organizational Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
At least three (3) years of experience in internal communications, change communications, or corporate communications with demonstrated project management capabilities.
Demonstrated experience supporting technology initiatives, digital transformation, or enterprise change programs.
Exceptional writing and editing skills across multiple communication channels.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines, with a track record of successful project execution.
Excellent interpersonal skills with experience partnering across technical and business teams.
Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and respond effectively to changing priorities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in telecommunications, supporting enterprise technology organizations, or IT departments.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, AI-enabled workplace technologies, and other internal communication platforms (e.g., Workshop)
Knowledge of change management methodologies such as Prosci or ADKAR
Estimated base salary range: $53,300 - $82,000 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
