## Main Responsibilites:
- We are looking for a Data Engineering Supervisor (SG8) for a technical supervisor role that combines hands-on data engineering with team leadership. This person will lead a scrum team of data engineers and data analytics engineers serving the engineering community, while remaining technically hands-on: designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and large-scale datasets, ensuring data quality and governance, and setting the technical direction and standards for the team. The role also acts as the primary point of contact between the team and partners in the US, and requires strong mentoring and delivery ownership in an Agile environment.
- Lead and manage a scrum team of data engineers while staying hands-on with technical work.
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for data engineering and analytics as it pertains to the assignment.
- Set technical direction, standards, and best practices; review designs and code across the team.
- Mentor and coach team members to build technical capabilities and strong data engineering practices.
- Serve as the point of contact between the team and partners in the US on conversations related to team members and projects.
- Own data initiatives that connect existing datasets and transform data in alignment with analytics needs and governance parameters.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines across distributed computing environments.
- Understand business strategy, objectives, and technology to ensure work is prioritized by business value and aligned with objectives and help the team overcome roadblocks.
- Drive Agile ceremonies and actively participate in sprint rituals.

## What Skills You Need:
- Experience leading or supervising data engineering teams in a hands-on technical capacity.
- 4+ years of coding experience with SQL, Python, or PySpark.
- Varied database experience with an emphasis on large-scale datasets.
- Data processing experience in a distributed computing environment.
- Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines.
- Experience with file versioning and repository management in Git/GitHub.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Databricks.
- trong knowledge of Agile methodology and sprint rituals.
- Ability to work independently and with teams to solve problems, gather requirements, and manage conflicting priorities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, especially communicating analytical concepts.
- Ability to hold daily, highly technical conversations in English with stakeholders and team members.

- Hands-on experience using Databricks.
- Experience in advanced modeling using ML and AI.
- Experience with REST APIs to access, use, and modify data.
- AWS certification or working experience in AWS cloud or other cloud technologies.
- Formal education or certification in Systems Engineering principles.

## Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related career field.
