Job Description:

SSR Mining is seeking a Process Operations Supervisor to join the Process Operations team at the Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) operation. This position is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Valley Leach Facilities and associated process operations.

The Process Operations Supervisor is accountable for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily operational activities while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in alignment with operational and business objectives. This role provides direct leadership to Process Operations personnel and works closely with Process Maintenance, the Process Day Shift Supervisor, and other site departments to support production targets, environmental compliance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.

Day to Day:

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure the safety of yourself, direct reports, team members, and others working within Process Operations.

  • Ensure Process Operations activities comply with applicable environmental regulations, permits, policies, and site requirements.

  • Ensure all plant and process equipment is operated safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.

  • Monitor key process performance indicators (KPIs), identify performance gaps, and implement strategies to improve operational results.

  • Understand departmental production targets and clearly communicate goals, priorities, and performance expectations across teams.

  • Work closely with the Process Day Shift Supervisor to coordinate operational priorities and maintain effective communication between crews and shifts.

  • Monitor reagent usage and costs while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and minimize unnecessary consumption.

  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, employee development, and succession planning activities.

  • Maintain daily communication with Process Maintenance to coordinate maintenance needs, equipment priorities, and operational activities.

  • Maintain a strong field presence, spending approximately 80% of working time engaging with employees, observing operations, and supporting the team.

  • Assist with evaluating and implementing projects designed to improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and operational performance.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal safety and health regulations, SSR Mining policies and procedures, and environmental requirements.

  • Assist with state, regulatory, and internal environmental compliance inspections and support corrective actions as needed.

  • Conduct staff, safety, and pre-start meetings as needed while ensuring employee training and line-of-progression requirements are identified and completed.

  • Develop, review, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support safe and consistent Process Operations activities.

  • Collaborate across teams to effectively implement operational changes and identify, communicate, and adopt best practices.

  • Address employee performance concerns promptly and appropriately while reinforcing expectations and accountability.

  • Coach and develop employees to strengthen performance, retain talent, build capabilities, and support career growth and advancement.

Is This You??

  • 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial or process operations environment; OR 5–7 years of progressive experience in Process Operations.

  • Previous experience leading, coaching, or developing employees is strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of gold processing operations, including crushing, Adsorption, Desorption and Recovery (ADR) plants, leach facilities, and associated ancillary systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and effectively manage operational priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Strong safety awareness and demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.

  • Ability to effectively coordinate operational activities across multiple teams and departments.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive working relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Good computer skills and the ability to effectively use applicable business and operational systems.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions & Location:

  • This is a site-based position at the Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Mine, located in a high-altitude environment (above 8,000 feet), and this person must be able to work at high altitude.

  • Based at the mining site, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and rugged terrain.
