Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Administration in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and control the issuance and return of site access badges, keys, and other authorized access devices.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and shift documentation related to access activity, patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
