Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on events.
•Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
•Strong communication and teamwork skills.
•Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced event environment.

Position Summary

The Part-Time Facilities Staff member supports the University of North Florida Athletics Department with facility operations, event setup and breakdown and general maintenance activities. This position assists in preparing athletic venues for special events.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Event & Game Day Operations

  • Assist with setting up and breaking down athletic events, including tables, chairs, signage, barricades, tents, and equipment.

  • Prepare competition venues for special events.

  • Assist with field and court preparation before, during, and after events.

  • Support event day operations staff with crowd management and event logistics.

  • Help ensure all venues are ready and meet operational standards.

Facility Operations

  • Perform routine facility inspections and report maintenance concerns.

  • Assist with cleaning and upkeep of athletic facilities, common areas, and event spaces.

  • Move, transport, and store equipment and supplies.

  • Assist with inventory and organization of athletic equipment and storage areas.

  • Support facility improvements and special projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in athletics, event operations, facilities, or customer service.

  • Familiarity with athletic facility setup and game day operations.

  • Experience working collegiate athletic events.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and moving equipment.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to work extended hours during tournaments, special events, and peak athletic seasons.
