HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
The opportunity
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for large HVDC project execution, budget, time schedule, project scope & changes, project team management and effective communication with both internal & external stakeholders. You will be the customer´s voice into our organization and will secure customer satisfaction and achievement of overall project goals. Our Projects are global and multidisciplinary and our project teams are multicultural and multinational.

How you’ll make an impact
Lead the project team with clear direction, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and achievement of technical, safety, quality, and financial targets.
Oversee project planning including scope, budget, schedule, and risk. Monitor implementation stages to ensure cost control, resource efficiency, and compliance with HSE standards.
Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. Manage contract amendments, variation orders and claims in collaboration with contract, supply chain and legal functions.
Drive project deliverables, identify and address risks, and ensure lessons learned are shared to improve ongoing and future projects. Ensure compliance with contract requirements and internal standards.
Manage contract negotiations and claims in collaboration with contracts and legal functions.

Your Background
Proven experience of project management, experience from energy and power industry is advantageous.
You hold a university degree, a degree in engineering or other technical area is preferable.
You enjoy collaboration and want to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
As a Project Manager you are structured, open-minded and communicative.
You are a curious person with the drive to challenge yourself and the organization for continuous development in both short and long term.
As you will be part of a company that operates on a global arena, fluent in English is required. Swedish is strongly preferable for collaboration with local stakeholders.
