Job Description

As a Security Officer - Class A Commercial Building, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and report security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials as directed by site procedures and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with property management, tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while completing required activity logs and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
