Position Summary

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) provides comprehensive primary care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. In collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, the PNP delivers preventive, acute, and chronic care services. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, population health management, and quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes within our children’s hospital network.Responsibilities Direct Patient Care • Conducts comprehensive assessments including risk assessment to diagnose conditions and recommend plans of care for a cohort of patients • Diagnoses and treats acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based guidelines within scope of practice • Refers to specialists when necessary • Participates in the coverage for clinic colleagues per departmental guidance • Participates in after-hours call coverage per departmental guidance • Timely and accurate documentation, inclusive of direct patient encounters and asynchronous care Population Health and Clinical Quality • Ensures comprehensive primary care for a population including risk assessment, preventive care and oversight for optimal management of chronic conditions including the cardiovascular- kidney- metabolic syndrome. • Utilizes data and risk stratification to identify high risk patients to prioritize outreach and gap closure defined by best evidence • Supports transitions of care and reduced re-admissions and ED use • Proactively participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery and care outcomes • Supports proactive outreach to populations at greatest risk • Multidisciplinary Team Care • Participates in team meetings Citizenship • Demonstrates the MultiCare values of compassion, stewardship, kindness, joy collaboration and respect • Adheres to MultiCare policies and processes Requirements • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) with Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialization • Current and unrestricted Washington State APRN license • National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP-BC or CPNP-PC/AC) • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required • Proficiency with Epic preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $83.65 - $83.65 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
