Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Library in Mattapan MA

Wednesday and Thursday 10 AM - 6 PM

Starting Pay is $21.20 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training

You will conduct routine rounds, report observations, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to library patrons, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public reading areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or facility concerns.
• Respond to incidents, patron concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas; assist with visitor direction and building rules; and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
