Position Summary:
The Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading a major workstream within a large, complex enterprise-wide transformation program. Reporting to the Sr. Director/Program Lead, this role is accountable for the day-to-day leadership, planning, coordination, execution oversight, and delivery management of an assigned workstream.
The Senior Program Manager will work closely with business, IT, functional leaders, and implementation partners to ensure the workstream is aligned to overall program objectives, integrated with related workstreams, and delivered on time and with quality. This role requires strong leadership, structure, and cross-functional coordination in a highly complex environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Workstream Leadership
Lead an assigned workstream within the broader enterprise-wide transformation program
Own day-to-day planning, coordination, execution oversight, and delivery tracking for the workstream
Ensure workstream objectives, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies are clearly defined and actively managed
Drive accountability across team members and stakeholders to achieve committed outcomes
Planning and Execution
Develop and maintain detailed workstream plans, timelines, milestones, and action logs
Coordinate activities across business, IT, functional teams, and external implementation partners
Monitor progress against plan and proactively identify risks, issues, and delivery gaps
Drive timely resolution of blockers and escalate matters as appropriate
Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management
Identify, track, and manage workstream risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
Partner with other workstream leads to address cross-functional impacts and integration points
Escalate critical risks and decisions to the Program Lead with recommended actions
Governance and Reporting
Prepare and provide regular status updates on workstream progress, milestones, risks, issues, and decisions
Support program governance forums by ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent reporting
Maintain documentation, decision logs, action items, and key workstream artifacts
Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with business, IT, and functional stakeholders across the assigned workstream
Partner with implementation teams and vendors to align on scope, deliverables, and timelines
Facilitate discussions, drive alignment, and support decision-making across stakeholders
Business Readiness and Adoption
Partner with business leads and change partners to support readiness, process alignment, and adoption activities
Help ensure the workstream is not only delivered from a technical perspective but is also operationally ready for implementation
Reinforce focus on business outcomes, user impact, and sustainable adoption
Quality and Delivery Discipline
Drive disciplined execution, issue resolution, and follow-through across the workstream
Ensure alignment with overall program governance, standards, templates, and reporting expectations
Support integrated planning and coordination with the broader transformation office and program leadership team
Financials/ Budget management
Lead workstream budget management, including actuals, forecast, accruals, and variance analysis.
Partner with Finance and PMO to maintain accurate financial reporting and forecast updates aligned to scope, resources, and delivery plans.
Drive disciplined, repeatable financial management processes aligned with program governance and financial best practices.
Identify, communicate, and help mitigate budget risks, forecast changes, and cost impacts across the workstream.
Ensure financial controls and documentation are audit-ready and able to withstand internal and external audit scrutiny.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
8+ years of program or project management experience, including leadership of complex, cross-functional initiatives
Experience leading a major workstream within a large enterprise-wide transformation, ERP transformation, or similarly complex strategic program
Strong experience in integrated planning, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination
Experience working across business and technology teams in a matrixed environment
Deep expertise in large scale Program budget management
Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, drive execution, and influence without direct authority
Strong written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale ERP or enterprise transformation programs
Experience working with system integrators and third-party implementation partners
Familiarity with change management, business readiness, and adoption planning
PMP, Agile, or related certifications preferred
Experience in complex, highly regulated, or global environments is a plus

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
