JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Scranton is accepting applications for part time Note Takers.
Note-takers support student learning by providing clear and accurate notes to document classes or lectures.
- Attend all assigned classes and labs, arriving on time
- Take detailed, clear, and accurate lecture notes and other information presented via in-person or virtual academic settings
- Ensure notes are adequate in content, identifying key points and relevant information
- Ensure notes are legible and readable; clarify abbreviations
- As required, accurately summarize lecture notes; provide notes to Student Disabilities Resource (SDR) office, et al.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with SDR policies
- Maintain accurate record of hours worked and services provided

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
