Responsibilities
The role supports the transformation of raw data into meaningful business insights. Utilizes analytical tools and techniques to collect, analyze, and present data in a clear and actionable manner. Works closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify areas for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making. Contributes to reporting, documentation, process optimization, and business analysis efforts while continuing to develop technical and business expertise.
- Data Extraction & Preparation: Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, validate, and prepare data from Snowflake and the business systems feeding it.
- View Development: Support the build and maintenance of Snowflake business views used across reporting, working in a version-controlled environment such as Azure DevOps (branching, pull requests, and peer review) with guidance from the wider team.
- Data Analysis: Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support business decision-making and operational improvements.
- AI & Automation Support: Assist in leveraging AI and LLM-based tools to improve workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
- Dashboarding & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Sigma, Power BI, or similar BI tools to provide meaningful insights to stakeholders, including recurring reporting cycles.
- Business Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, respond to incoming data requests, and support the delivery of data-driven solutions.
- Data Quality & Governance: Contribute to maintaining data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting and analytical processes, validating output before it is shared, and keeping report documentation up to date.
- Real Estate & Financial Insights: Develop an understanding of basic real estate and investment concepts to help contextualize analyses and reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging analytics and AI technologies and contribute ideas to enhance business processes and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a related field.
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or another quantitative discipline.
- Working knowledge of SQL with experience querying, transforming, and validating data.
- Working knowledge of Python or another analytical programming language.
- Exposure to a BI and data visualization tool such as Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or similar technologies, and to ETL and data preparation concepts.
- Exposure to version control and collaborative development workflows such as Git or Azure DevOps is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and turn data into clear, useful insights.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality, including checking your own output before it is shared.
- Effective communication and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences and work across teams.
- Interest in AI, machine learning, and emerging LLM technologies, including any use of AI-powered or automation tools in academic, internship, or professional projects.
- Basic understanding of financial, investment, or real estate concepts is an advantage.
- Eagerness to learn, develop new skills, and grow within a data-driven environment.
