Envita Solutions is offering a dynamic internship opportunity within its Operations organization on the Customer Impact Team, where you'll work directly with the Operations leadership team to visualize and improve the people systems, patterns, and processes in place both within the Customer Impact Team and between the team and its supporting groups. This role involves mapping how work flows between functions, identifying where processes overlap or break down, and helping consolidate them into clear, unified procedures. Interns will gain hands-on experience in operations and organizational management, process mapping, and cross-functional collaboration, with potential opportunities for local travel and facility tours.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures Health & Safety are the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Working as part of the Customer Impact Team with no specific customer assignment.
  • Map and visualize existing people systems, workflows, and handoffs within the Customer Impact Team.
  • Document how work moves between the Customer Impact Team and supporting departments.
  • Identify overlapping or duplicative processes and recommend ways to consolidate them into one.
  • Build on existing processes to improve clarity, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Create process maps, workflow diagrams, and reference documentation for team use.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure data/billing accuracy.
  • Support change adoption by helping communicate updated processes to the team.
  • Prepare monthly/annual waste activity reports.
  • Work with the leadership team on targeted projects related to CRM tracking and process improvement.
  • Impact analysis support for ground level projects.
  • Potential for local travel opportunities to meet with customers and tour different facilities.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.


Education Qualifications

  • Required High School or Equivalent
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree and open to current College Juniors, College Seniors, recent Bachelor's Degree graduates, and Master's students majoring in Operations Management, Operations Research, Organizational Management, Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.


Experience Qualifications

  • Preferred operations, process improvement, customer service, or environmental experience or classroom exposure.


Skills and Abilities

  • Strong computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Comfort using Microsoft CoPilot and other AI tools to support day-to-day work.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and pattern recognition skills.
  • Systems-oriented thinking, with the ability to understand a process and build on it.
  • Ability to consolidate multiple processes into one cohesive approach.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.


Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Must be able to make an office commute.
  • This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of the Envita Solutions office.

Internships at The Heritage Group


The Heritage Group Internship Program provides hands-on, paid experiences in a corporate function or within one of our many operating companies. Interns can expect to network with other students and professionals, gain useful skills, receive mentoring, and make their own contributions to the organization. Additionally, interns can participate in our weekly hosted events focused on professional development, team building, and community service.

Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $18/hour (Freshman) - $21/hour (Senior), etc.
