Your key responsibilities
As an Audit Supervisor, you will:
- Lead and execute audits across various Retail Banking domains within ING Belgium.
- Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, associated risks, regulatory requirements, and expected control frameworks.
- Assess the design and effectiveness of key controls and determine whether significant risks are adequately mitigated.
- Perform audit fieldwork, including walkthroughs, stakeholder interviews, control testing, and data analysis.
- Identify audit findings and discuss observations with stakeholders to drive meaningful improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners while managing expectations throughout the audit lifecycle.
- Apply data analytics and innovative audit techniques to increase audit coverage and enhance audit quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the audit function.
- Occasionally participate in audit assignments within other ING entities, such as the Netherlands or Luxembourg.
What you'll bring
- Master's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, or Retail Banking.
- Strong understanding of Retail Banking products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to assess risks and evaluate the effectiveness of controls in a structured and pragmatic way.
- Experience with data analysis and the use of data-driven audit techniques is an asset.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
