SECURITY SUPERINTENDENT
ABOUT US
FG Gold Limited has been awarded the Baomahun Gold concession project located in Valunia Chiefdom, Bo District, and is currently in the development phase. To support this project development, FG Gold Limited is seeking a qualified individual to fill the vacant position of Security Superintendent.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Security Superintendent is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for security across the Gold Plant, Gold Room, bullion handling, and associated high-risk areas of the Baomahun gold mine.
The role ensures the protection of personnel, gold-bearing material, critical assets, and the integrity of the gold production and custody process, from processing through to secure storage and dispatch.
This is a senior security position responsible for maintaining the highest level of security and control over the gold production and custody chain, and for continuously improving controls throughout the gold production lifecycle.
The position plays a critical role in safeguarding FG Gold's gold production and custody process while ensuring compliance with company policy, applicable legislation and international security standards.
- Lead and supervise all security operations within the Gold Plant and Gold Room; implement and enforce security procedures for gold production, handling, storage, reconciliation and secure transportation; maintain strict access control, search, screening, key control and dual-control procedures within high-security areas.
- Supervise security personnel and ensure effective deployment, discipline, training and performance; monitor CCTV, intrusion detection, access control and other security systems covering critical plant areas; coordinate security responses to alarms, incidents, suspected theft, unauthorised access and emergencies.
- Conduct security risk assessments, inspections, audits and vulnerability reviews of the Plant and Gold Room; lead or support investigations into security incidents, losses, discrepancies and breaches of gold control procedures; prepare security reports, KPI statistics, incident reports and recommendations for the Security Manager.
- Work closely with Plant Management, Metallurgy, Mine Management, Finance, Internal Audit, HSE and Investigations to maintain gold security and chain-of-custody controls; ensure compliance with company policies, applicable legislation, international security standards and human-rights requirements.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Educational Background:
Holds a Degree or Diploma in Security Management, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, Military Studies or a related discipline. A drone pilot licence is required.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years' gold mine security experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory/management position.
- Proven experience in gold mining, mineral processing, gold room, refinery and bullion security.
- Previous expatriate or international mining experience.

Physical Requirements:
- Accommodation and flights supplied by FG Gold.
- Roster: 7 weeks on / 3 weeks off.
- Site-based Greenfield mining project; remote mine location.
- Exposure to high-security areas including the Gold Plant, Gold Room and bullion handling.
- Occasional work outside normal business hours in response to security incidents or emergencies.
