About the Job:
Part Time Medical Assistant - McKinney and DFW surrounding area.
Job Details:
- Welcomes patients by greeting them in person.
- Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room.
- Helping them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment.
- Arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history.
- Taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
- Performs basic vitals and height weight.
- Ensures appropriate and accurate documentation in the patient medical record.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Excellent time management skills necessary.
- Great communication skills helpful.
- Keeps patient care information confidential.
Performs patient exams for multiple testing including:
- Spirometry (PFT) (training provided).
- Fundus photos (training provided).
- ANS/Sudo testing (equipment driven, training provided).
- Neural testing (training provided).
Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour.
Schedule:
- Day Shift: Monday - Friday - Occasional Saturday.
- Hours: As early as 7:30am to as late as 5:00pm.
Experience:
- Healthcare worker (in some capacity): 1 year (Required).
- Medical Assistant: 6 months (Preferred).
Work Location: In-Person - McKinney and DFW surrounding area
