Description
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Carlisle area. We are looking for several dedicated multi-drop van drivers to join the team.
Shifts: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday.
Hours: 09:00am start.
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour PAYE.
Location: Carlisle, CA6 4RD.
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
- Safely and efficiently operate a company van to deliver parcels.
- Drivers may be required to do door to door (50-100) or lockers (100+).
- Positively representing the brand, maintaining a clean vehicle and being a courteous driver.
- Safe loading and unloading of parcels on to a van.
- Delivery of products, goods and parcels safely and efficiently to designated locations within set timeframes.
- Ensure proper handling and delivery of sensitive materials with authorisation, if necessary and deliver high standards of customer care.
- Properly use and maintain delivery equipment, including handheld scanner, to deliver shipments.
Requirements:
- A valid UK driver's license.
- Multi- drop experience (preferable).
- Have no more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to manually load and unload vehicles.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
