We are looking for a Ward Administrator/Clerk to join our team at Cygnet Taunton.
Cygnet Hospital Taunton provides acute inpatient admissions service for men and women and a specialist inpatient service for men diagnosed with a learning disability.
Your Day-to-Day...
Salary: £28,050 per annum
You’ll be working 36 hours a week in a Inpatient Mental Health Hospital with males with learning disabilities, female and male acute mental health services and male cognitive neuropsychiatry.
Assisting the wards to complete relevant forms where necessary (e.g. Admission Paperwork etc.).
Helping to ensure the wards are compliant with various clinical dashboards.
Ensuring paperwork is submitted so the patient database is kept up to date.
Assist with the collection of required data to meet corporate requirements and monitoring of ward key performance indicators (KPIs).
Maintain effective filing/record keeping systems and decant service user notes in line with Medical Records policy and procedure.
Maintain and update ward displays and information points to ensure these remain current and relevant
Liaise with external agencies, referrers, relatives and other professionals as required.
Attend and take minutes at meetings as requested.
Record all enquiries using appropriate documentation and ensure action is taken where necessary.
Provide cover in the Reception area for breaks, leave etc. to include handling the hospital switchboard efficiently and carrying out other duties in this area as requested.
Provide cover and support to the Administration Department as requested.
Ensure confidentiality and security of patient related data at all times.
You are...
• Experienced in administration in a fast-paced environment (2 years experience)
• Proficient in typing and minute taking.
• Organised, diligent and can strictly adhere to processes & procedures
• Knowledgeable of mental health & patient confidentiality issues
• Skilled at inputting, pulling & analysing data using Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, etc
• An excellent verbal & written communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Able to swiftly solve problems & work under pressure without compromising quality
