The Senior Accountant is responsible for advanced accounting functions, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling and analyzing complex accounts, supporting period-end closings, and assisting with financial statement preparation. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, provides guidance on accounting matters, supports audits, and communicates effectively across all levels of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Support Accounts Payable operational processing.
- Determine and record required adjustments for complex accounts.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile, analyze, and review balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare supporting schedules and assist with financial statement deliverables.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data integrity and accounting discrepancies.
- Support tax filings and internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Implement and maintain internal financial procedures and controls.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Contribute to departmental and organizational projects, providing insights and recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, providing guidance on accounting matters.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant accounting work experience required. Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, SUMIF) required.
