Description
Code District is looking for a strategic, detail-oriented Content Marketer who understands that great content doesn't just rank, it converts.
You will be responsible for crafting content that directly speaks to our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), addresses their key pain points, and moves them through the buying funnel. You aren't just a writer; you are a clear thinker who combines basic SEO practices with deeply valuable, audience-first messaging.
Key Responsibilities
1. ICP & Value-Driven Content Strategy
- Audience Alignment: Deeply understand our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), their specific pain points, goals, and daily workflows.
- Value-First Creation: Draft articles, case studies, guides, and messaging that prioritize actionable insights over generic, surface-level advice.
- Funnel Optimization: Produce content designed for each stage of the buyer journey (ToFU awareness, MoFU evaluation, and BoFU decision-making).
2. SEO Writing & On-Page Optimization
- Search Intent Mastery: Conduct keyword research and write content that answers search intent directly rather than keyword stuffing.
- On-Page Fundamentals: Optimize headings ($H1, H2, H3$), meta descriptions, title tags, internal linking, and content structures for both search engines and human readers.
- Content Refreshing: Audit and update existing content to maintain ranking positions and retain content freshness.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1-2+ years of professional writing experience in content marketing, preferably in B2B or SaaS environments.
- SEO Proficiency: Strong grasp of on-page SEO principles and comfort using keyword/SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Clearscope, SurferSEO).
- ICP Thinking: Proven ability to tailor voice, tone, and depth of content to technical or specialized professional audiences.
- Portfolio: A portfolio of published articles/content pieces that showcase high readability, clear structure, and business value.
- Self-Starter: Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage content schedules and editorial calendars independently.
Nice-to-Haves
Basic familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot).
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics / Search Console to track performance metrics (traffic, conversions, bounce rates).
- Experience conducting expert interviews (with customers or internal SMEs) to elevate piece depth.
