50Position Summary
The Greeter (G) greets, directs, and assists electors at a voting location.Major Job Responsibilities
- Assists with opening and closing the voting place
- Greets electors at the voting location and request they have proper identification ready
- Assists electors at the voting location and provide them with instructions and directions
- Ensures the voting location is free of any candidate or third party advertiser campaign materials
- Notifies the Deputy Returning Officer (DRO) of any services that are disrupted, incidents that occur or complaints that are made at the voting location in a timely manner
- Assists electors with disabilities, if requested
- Manages a large flow of electors within a voting location
- Directs any elector issues to the Deputy Returning Officer (DRO), as they arise
- Assists with other various duties as requested by the Deputy Returning Officer (DRO)
Education & Experience
- Access to a vehicle to travel to the voting location.
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Availability to work long hours
- Ability to read and observe voting procedures at the voting location
- Ability to learn quickly, follow directions, and complete repetitive duties
- Ability to multi-task
- Be at least 16 years of age on advance poll day or election day
Event Rate:
$220 per day
$20 for training
