About this opportunity
This is a full-time, on-site individual contributor role based in Nampa, Idaho. As an RMA Technician II, you will process, evaluate, test, troubleshoot, repair, and document customer-returned hardware in line with standardized workmanship, quality, safety, and production requirements. You will support timely return merchandise authorization (RMA) disposition, protect product quality, identify recurring issues, and share actionable feedback with production, quality, engineering, and operations teams. You will also serve as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement across the RMA department.
## What you will do
- Receive, inspect, and route returned products; perform bulk processing, labeling, packing, and inventory transactions
- Evaluate and troubleshoot customer-returned hardware using hand tools, test equipment, and approved diagnostic methods
- Test, verify, and rework products to production-level quality and specifications
- Perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate, traceable RMA inventory records
- Identify defects, recurring issues, and process gaps; escalate safety or operational concerns as needed
- Create failure-analysis records and document symptoms, test results, repair actions, and dispositions clearly
- Work with Vendors to coordinate repair and refurbishment of devices.
- Contribute to process documentation, continuous improvement activities, and operator training
- Follow occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements, 5S practices, and applicable material-handling standards
## The skills you will bring
- High school diploma, technical training, or equivalent practical experience in a production, repair, warehouse, or operations environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in RMA receiving, bulk processing, product test, device analysis, and system transactions
- Ability to troubleshoot electronics or hardware using a structured approach and escalate when needed
- Experience creating or maintaining process documents, work instructions, or training materials; an eye for clarity and consistency.
- Ability to train or guide peers on standardized processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable tools; ability to type at least 30 words per minute
- Ability to lift and maneuver items up to 35 pounds, with reasonable accommodation where applicable
- Preferred: Associate degree or technical training in electronics, manufacturing, or logistics; experience with CRM/ERP systems; exposure to Six Sigma, 5S, or root-cause analysis methods

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
