Description
The role will provide valuable business insight by tracking won and lost tenders, monitoring customer activity, identifying growth opportunities and supporting the delivery of excellent customer service across the business.
The role acts as a key link between customers, operations and commercial teams, helping to ensure opportunities are maximised and customer relationships are maintained.
This role is suitable for those who are open to national travel. A company car or allowance will be provided. Your office will be based in Corby, reporting to the Business Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact for customers within Minimix East and Hardcrete.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Support customer retention and account development activities.
- Respond to customer enquiries and coordinate actions with operational teams.
- Assist with customer review meetings and follow-up actions.
- Promote a customer-focused approach across the business.
- Maintain accurate records of all quotations, tenders and commercial opportunities.
- Track and report on won and lost business.
- Monitor tender success rates and identify trends.
- Support the preparation and submission of tender documentation.
- Assist in gathering market intelligence and competitor activity information.
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of business opportunities.
- Produce regular reports on sales activity, customer performance and tender outcomes.
- Analyse commercial data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support forecasting and planning through accurate reporting.
- Maintain customer and opportunity records within company systems.
- Support the development of KPI reporting for the business.
- Support the management of key customer accounts.
- Work closely with customers to ensure a positive experience.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns and service issues.
- Escalate significant commercial issues where appropriate.
- Help identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and increase customer retention.
- Work closely with Operations, Internal Sales, Logistics and Finance teams.
- Ensure customer requirements are communicated effectively across the business.
- Support delivery of customer commitments through strong internal communication.
- Assist in coordinating actions arising from customer feedback and service reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial and customer processes.
- Support implementation of new systems and reporting tools.
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives.
- Promote consistency and accuracy in commercial reporting and administration.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience within a customer service, sales support, commercial support or account management environment.
- Experience producing reports and analysing business performance data.
- Experience working within construction materials, manufacturing, logistics or related industries desirable.
- Experience managing customer enquiries and maintaining customer relationships.
