HealthOPM is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join a welcoming retirement community in the Huron County area. About the Role
As an RPN, you will provide safe, compassionate, and professional nursing care while working collaboratively with residents, families, PSWs, and the broader healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in accordance with College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) standards and organizational policies.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as prescribed.
- Assess residents, monitor changes in health status, and promptly report concerns.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Respond appropriately to medical concerns and emergencies.
- Supervise and support PSWs while promoting high standards of resident care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow infection prevention, health and safety, and quality assurance practices.
- Build respectful and positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in good standing.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC), completed within the last 12 months.
- Current TB screening/clearance.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous experience in retirement living, long-term care, or seniors' care is an asset.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, and resident-focused approach to care.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
