Job Overview

Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President, responsible for the daily operational and administrative functions of the Airport’s Centralized Receiving and Distribution Center (CRDC), including receiving and distribution processes, inventory controls, storage areas, recycling operations, and compliance-related activities. Ensures the CRDC operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with policies, regulatory requirements. Monitors staff performance ensuring consistent service delivery to enhance customer experience, safety, and regulatory compliance.

What you will be doing:

  • Manages the daily operations of the Airport’s CRDC by ensuring compliance with operational guidelines and procedures for receiving and distribution process controls and related functions. 

  • Oversees contractor and CRDC performance by auditing and analyzing key operational metrics and maintaining reporting systems to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational standards are consistently met. 

  • Establishes accountability and control of the CRDC, delivery routes, drop off and pickup locations through CRDC operations, ensuring compliance with applicable Airport rules and regulations, state laws, HACCP, local health regulations, TABC, TSA, and CBP requirements. 

  • Onboards new CRDC users and provides guidance to DFW Airport tenants and CRDC users regarding program policies, procedures, and compliance expectations. 

  • Trains and directs team members to ensure they are knowledgeable of the CRDC process and strategic connection points and equips the team for success. 

  • Partners with internal airport departments, concessionaires, and other stakeholders to evaluate needs, determine areas of improvement, and ensure corrections are made by the appropriate stakeholder. 

  • Leads and supports operational initiatives by proactively communicating with all stakeholders and coordinating cross-functional actions that support a cohesive experience.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics management, or a related field. 

  • Five (5) plus years of warehouse administration experience, including analytics reporting, receiving, issuing, and maintaining computerized records and reports. 

  • Two (2) plus years of direct management experience.

  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above. 

  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license. 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of modern warehousing techniques, procedures, and safety requirements. 

  • Knowledge of rules and regulations affecting shipment, handling, and storage of goods. 

  • Knowledge of business and public administration principles, including budgeting and personnel practices. 

  • Skill in ERP Warehouse Systems, Microsoft Suite applications, and business application software. 

  • Skill in interpreting and analyzing performance metric reports and operational data to drive data-informed decision-making and efficiency improvements.

  • Skill in conflict resolution communication, both verbal and written, with the ability to mediate disputes and engage with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to develop, implement, and maintain warehouse policies, procedures, and compliance programs. 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, maintaining positive relationships with tenants, suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. 

  • Ability to prepare, maintain, and audit warehousing records, reports, and inventory documentation. 

  • Ability to analyze and evaluate programs, policies and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement.

  • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and supervise the work of others.

Special Requirements:

  • Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.

  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection (CBP) security access clearance within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for CBP security access clearance upon each CBP security access renewal.

  • This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in DFW Airport’s Drug and Alcohol Administrative Policy and Procedure. Applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a drug test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position.

  • This is a designated Essential Employee position as defined in DFW Airport’s Categories and Classifications Administrative Policy and Procedure. An essential employee is one whose attendance is required to maintain airport operations during an emergency or inclement weather situation.

Desired:

  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or Infor Asset Management. 

  • Experience using Tableau or comparable reporting tools. 

  • Experience conducting virtual meetings using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms.
