Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Driving Role Patrol in Wayne, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government education location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of educational facilities, parking areas, building perimeters, and grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assistance while helping maintain orderly entry and exit.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
