Lead Pastor - Key Biscayne Community Church

Lead Pastor - Key Biscayne Community Church

Settled Pastor (Full-Time, Bilingual English/Spanish)

Key Biscayne Community Church, United Church of Christ | Key Biscayne, Florida

Called to preach, and called to build

For 75 years, Key Biscayne Community Church (KBCC) has been part of island life. Our vision now is to become the Front Porch of Key Biscayne, a place where people feel welcome before they believe, known before they commit, and invited into a life of faith rooted in Jesus Christ.

We are a small, committed, multigenerational congregation. We have come through a season of transition with stronger governance, greater transparency and a clear shared vision. Now we're ready to grow, and we're looking for a pastor who wants to help lead that growth.

Why this role is unique

We aren't starting from zero. The community already comes to our campus:

• A weekly Farmers Market that draws neighbors from across the island
• The KBCC Day School, which connects us with local families every day
• Island living: a close-knit, international community minutes from Miami, where families know each other and life moves at a slower pace

Many people know our campus but don't yet know our church. You'll help turn that familiarity into belonging.

What the Lead Pasor willl do

• Lead Scripture-grounded worship and preaching that connects faith to everyday life
• Build a thriving youth and family ministry, including partnering with the Day School
• Be a visible, relational presence in the community
• Provide proactive pastoral care and Bible study
• Equip lay leaders and work with an engaged Church Council

Who we're looking for

• Ordained or authorized minister who is relational, authentic and grounded in the Bible
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, comfortable ministering across cultures
• Has a heart for families, youth and community engagement
• Has a builder's mindset and is energized by growth

What we offer

• Full-time settled call (37–40 hours per week)
• Salary based on experience, plus UCC benefits (medical, dental, life and disability)
• A 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment on campus, with a full parsonage planned in the adjacent house following renovations

If interested, please submit a cover letter and a resume.
