Responsibilities / Tasks

GEA Farm Technologies, Inc. seeks a part-time employee, to create and maintain trade show displays in our Galesville, WI office and occasionally travel to events nationally and regionally to help set-up and dismantle the GEA exhibit. 

Creating new displays: The candidate should possess a solid foundation in designing and executing the construction or assembly of tradeshow displays for equipment and other booth assets (both static and dynamic). Basic knowledge of electrical work, welding, and other trades are helpful in creating exhibits and on-site at events.

Maintenance and organization: The candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing displays, and ensuring all trade show materials and tools are organized and kept in good condition.   They will also be responsible for loading and unloading exhibit materials to/from event transport and ensuring proper packing, and labeling, and storage of exhibits in between events.  Additionally, the candidate will track usage, report issues, help with continuous improvement of the exhibits, and handle repairs as required.

Travel and on-site duties: Occasional travel to events throughout the United States will be required to help the booth staff assemble displays on-site, monitor displays during the show period and coordinate tear-down and shipping of GEA displays and booth assets.

Hours will vary and are dependent on show seasonality.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to repair and create wooden structures for trade shows including but not limited to:
  • Crates, platforms, and display booths
• Ability to mig weld to create displays of equipment for shows; experience in other welding may be considered
• Ability to operate a forklift to load and unload trade show materials
• Ability to keep electronic inventory of trade show materials
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair trade show materials and return them to serviceable condition
• Must be a self starter
• Must follow workplace safety protocols and operational guidelines
• Microsoft 365 and electronic communication protocols

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Other duties as assigned.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $30 - $36 per hour.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.  You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
