Purpose: For our orthopaedics business, we are seeking a strong, customer‑focused and communicative personality to join us as a Sales Consultant Joint Reconstruction, starting immediately or by agreement. As a proven specialist with a strong sales mindset, you will serve as the key point of contact for orthopaedic surgeons, OR managers, and operating room staff in hospitals and clinics. In this central role, you will coordinate, organize, and ensure the correct application of our high‑quality, innovative products. You will proactively identify new business opportunities, drive their execution, and manage corresponding sales projects within your assigned territory.

 

You will be responsible for:

• Comprehensive sales and product advice in the clinical field of orthopaedics / joint reconstruction.
• Systematic planning and organization of your own field service activities.
• Build long-term customer relationships with physicians, operating room staff, buyers, and other decision-makers.
• Strengthening existing product lines, introducing product innovations.
• Drive market adoption of VELYS™ Robotics and other enabling technologies through customer engagement, clinical support and business development activities.
• Organization and implementation of further training events (workshops, customer training) for medical and medical professionals.
• Responsible for achieving general and specific sales targets in terms of market penetration and sales.
• Developing and implementing sales and action plans in the assigned area of responsibility in cooperation with the sales manager.
• Representation of the business unit at congresses.

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

• At least 2 years of sales experience, ideally in the medical device sector.
• Clear sales‑driven mindset with excellent execution skills and professional presence.
• High customer-oriented personality and result orientation.
• Strong negotiation skills and confidence in closing deals.
• Determination, self-motivation and willingness to perform.
• Strong communication and persuasion skills.
• High flexibility, willingness to travel in your region.
• Creativity and openness to change.
• Independent, integrity, dynamic, resilient and entrepreneurial personality.
• Fluent Italian (mandatory), English proficiency. German knowledge represents an advantage.

 

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes, and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.
