As a Senior Compiler Engineer, you'll join a world-class team responsible for developing industry-leading compiler technologies that help developers unlock the full potential of Intel CPUs and GPUs.

The Intel Compiler Engineering team develops the Intel® C/C++/DPC++ and Fortran Compilers and is a key contributor to the LLVM open-source ecosystem. Our work directly influences software performance across cloud, AI, enterprise, and HPC workloads worldwide.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Compiler Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing compiler technologies that deliver exceptional performance and scalability across Intel architectures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining advanced compiler technologies and software components.
• Driving the implementation of new compiler features and resolving complex software defects.
• Analyzing real-world applications, workloads, and benchmarks to identify optimization opportunities.
• Improving the performance and efficiency of compiler-generated code for Intel CPU architectures.
• Conducting functional, performance, scalability, and stress testing to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Partnering with hardware architects and platform teams to enable new processor capabilities.
• Collaborating across global engineering, validation, and performance teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Contributing to open-source compiler initiatives and industry standards where appropriate.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship within the engineering organization.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Informatics, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience using C/C++.
• Strong background in object-oriented programming, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience optimizing software for CPU performance and efficiency.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently drive technical investigations and deliver solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within global engineering environments.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with vectorization technologies and parallel programming models such as OpenMP.
• Experience with compiler development using LLVM or similar compiler frameworks.
• Knowledge of assemblers, linkers, and low-level system software.
• Strong understanding of compiler optimizations, code generation, and CPU architecture.
• Experience analyzing and tuning software performance across complex workloads.
• Familiarity with performance profiling and analysis tools such as perf or equivalent solutions.

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.

Annual Salary Range for this job which could be performed in Poland is: 200 400,00 zł - zł457,640.00 The compensation range displayed in this posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for this position. Within this range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, and relevant education, training. As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may include additional pay components and benefits. Your recruiting team will share the confirmed base salary along with any applicable total compensation elements upon employment offer delivery.

Work Model for this Role
