The Product Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory Compliance organization within the Global Products Group supports the design and engineering of Lam’s semiconductor equipment by helping product teams understand and address evolving global regulatory requirements

## The impact you’ll make

In this role, you will support regulatory compliance workstreams, translate requirements into practical engineering and business actions, and help build reliable evidence and repeatable processes that enable product compliance and business continuity.

## What you’ll do

• Monitor global regulatory developments and notifications, and support applicability and impact assessments for Lam products, components, materials, operations, and market access.
• Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable product, supplier, data, documentation, labeling, declaration, reporting, and process needs.
• Execute assigned compliance workstreams across areas such as REACH, RoHS, CE marking, Machinery Regulation, EMC, SEMI safety standards, batteries, critical raw materials, PFAS, packaging, F-Gas, chemical and SDS requirements, and wireless/RF compliance.
• Identify affected parts and products by reviewing bills of material, drawings, datasheets, specifications, supplier information, and available shipment or forecast data.
• Develop and maintain scoping criteria, trackers, databases, questionnaires, assessment templates, procedures, and engineering documentation to support traceability and repeatable execution.
• Coordinate supplier data collection with Supply Chain, Supplier Engineering, and other stakeholders; assess responses and supporting evidence, resolve data gaps, and escalate material risks.
• Support customer surveys, letters or declarations of conformity, audits, regulatory submissions, and business escalations by compiling accurate and review-ready compliance evidence.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Safety, Environmental, Legal, Quality, Manufacturing, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams to implement compliance requirements.
• Prepare concise status reports, impact justifications, risk summaries, and stakeholder communications, and contribute to compliance awareness and training

## Who we’re looking for

• Years of Experience: 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in product regulatory compliance, semiconductor or capital equipment engineering, supplier compliance, or related engineering operations
• Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related technical discipline
• Applied knowledge of product regulatory compliance for capital equipment or similarly regulated products, with experience in compliance assessments, applicability reviews, gap analysis, or compliance-related design and process changes.
• Working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and standards, such as REACH, RoHS, CE marking, Machinery Regulation, EMC, NFPA, SEMI safety standards, batteries, PFAS, packaging, F-Gas, or chemical and SDS requirements.
• Ability to interpret regulations, standards, draft requirements, regulatory notifications, and technical documentation and convert them into practical engineering and business actions.
• Experience reviewing drawings, bills of material, specifications, datasheets, supplier declarations, certificates, safety data sheets, and other compliance evidence.
• Ability to organize and analyze large datasets using defined screening logic, validation rules, traceable decisions, and risk-based prioritization.
• Experience coordinating supplier or stakeholder inputs, evaluating responses, identifying evidence gaps, and following actions through closure.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with incomplete or evolving information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint or comparable tools for analysis, documentation, tracking, and reporting

## Preferred qualifications

• Experience in the semiconductor industry or with semiconductor manufacturing equipment, subsystems, product structures, and engineering lifecycle processes.
• Hands-on exposure to one or more specialized areas, including REACH restrictions, batteries, critical raw materials or permanent magnets, PFAS, packaging, F-Gas or refrigerants, containerized chemicals, SDS management, or wireless/RF compliance.
• Familiarity with regulatory horizon monitoring, WTO/ePing notifications, customer compliance surveys, regulatory submissions, or interactions with industry and standards organizations.
• Knowledge of CE-marking deliverables, EMC documentation, SEMI S2 and related standards, technical files, declarations of conformity, and third-party assessment or certification evidence.
• Experience creating compliance databases, supplier questionnaires, standard operating procedures, best-known methods, training content, or scalable compliance workflows.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle, product-structure, engineering document-management, supplier-data, or component-purchasing systems.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
