As a Executive Director, HIV Treatment Integrated Insights, at Gilead you will serve as the senior strategic insights leader supporting the HIV Treatment Business Unit. Reporting to the Vice President, U.S. Commercial Insights, Analytics & Operations, this role acts as a trusted advisor to the HIV Treatment Vice President and Leadership Team while helping shape portfolio strategy, commercial execution, and long-term growth.
This leader brings together customer, market, competitive, performance, forecasting, and commercial insights to create a comprehensive understanding of business opportunities and challenges. Through enterprise collaboration and strategic influence, the Executive Director helps guide key decisions that improve business performance and patient impact.
Strategic Business Partnership
Serve as the primary Integrated Insights advisor to the HIV Treatment Business Unit Leadership Team.
Shape strategic priorities by identifying emerging opportunities, risks, customer needs, and market trends.
Translate business objectives into integrated insight strategies that leverage analytics, forecasting, research, operations, digital, and data science capabilities.
Influence portfolio, brand, customer, and commercial decisions through actionable recommendations.
Integrated Insights Leadership
Lead the integration of market research, competitive intelligence, forecasting, customer insights, and performance analytics into a unified business narrative.
Deliver forward-looking insights that improve strategic decision making and business planning.
Establish best practices in insight generation, executive storytelling, and strategic recommendations.
Ensure leaders receive timely and impactful assessments of business performance and future opportunities.
Enterprise Collaboration & Commercial Impact
Partner across Commercial Operations, Digital & AI Strategy, Data & Data Sciences, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Global teams to drive business outcomes.
Align stakeholders around key priorities and translate insights into measurable action.
Support enterprise initiatives, business planning cycles, executive reviews, and earnings-related activities.
Promote organizational agility and effectiveness through cross-functional collaboration.
Innovation & Business Performance
Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, customer behavior, and commercial performance drivers.
Advance the use of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging data sources to enhance decision quality.
Drive innovation in how insights are generated, communicated, and embedded into commercial processes.
Champion operational excellence, simplification, and continuous improvement.
Talent Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Integrated Insights organization.
Create an environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, inclusion, innovation, and continuous learning.
Build organizational capabilities that support current business priorities and future growth.
Develop talent pipelines and succession strategies to ensure long-term organizational success.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 16+ years of relevant experience; OR
Master's Degree and 14+ years of relevant experience; OR
PhD and 14+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Significant leadership experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, consulting, analytics, insights, forecasting, commercial strategy, or related industries.
Demonstrated success serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives.
Proven ability to integrate multiple data sources and analytical approaches into actionable business strategies.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, customer engagement, market access, product lifecycle management, and competitive dynamics.
Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives across matrix organizations.
Exceptional communication, executive presentation, and strategic storytelling skills.
Strong business acumen, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
Experience leveraging advanced analytics, data science, digital capabilities, and AI-driven insights.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Track record of building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
